The Jeep A904 is an automatic transmission with a hydraulic torque converter, from which some Chrysler Corporation (now Stellantis) vehicles were fitted between 1960 and 2002. In addition, it was also used in American Motors Corporation (AMC) cars. It is part of the Torqueflite series of automatic transmissions, introduced in 1956. This had 3 gears and a manual shift mode. It was installed in the Jeep CJ, Jeep DJ-5M, Jeep Cherokee, Dodge Coronet, Jeep Comanche, Dodge Charger, Dodge Diplomat, Chrysler Cordoba, Chrysler Imperial, Dodge RAM and Plymouth Fury and a number of other models in different years.
