EVSC: description, characteristics and principle of operation

EVSC (Electronic Vehicle Stability Control) is a stability control system for trucks and buses from Isuzu. It prevents the vehicle from losing traction on slippery surfaces and counteracts understeer and oversteer. Thanks to this system, vehicle stability is improved when driving and braking.

How EVSC works

With this system, wheel speed, Lateral acceleration and yaw rate analyzed. The system then compares the vehicle's actual path to the course set by the steering wheel. In the event of deviations, individual wheels are braked so that the desired route is restored. This is done with the help of the hydraulic unit of the ABS and the brakes, and if necessary the torque of the engine can be reduced.
