CSC (Cornering Stability Control) is a system with the Tata models are equipped and that improves stability when braking in turns. The system improves the vehicle's handling and prevents understeer and oversteer.
How CSC works
The CSC is a subsystem of the ABS , which works closely with the systems for electronic brake force distribution and traction control. With the help of sensors from the ABS, the CSC recognizes when the car starts to skid. Then the pressure of the working fluid in each brake circuit is adjusted with the help of the solenoid valves and pump of the ABS hydraulic system. As a result, braking becomes more efficient and the vehicle gets a better grip on the road surface.
Popular Tata models with CSC
- Bolt
- Tiago
- Zest
- Aria
- Xenon
Causes of defects
- Defective ABS sensors
- Leaking of brake fluid
- Installing tires with the wrong dimensions
- Replacing tires individually instead of in pairs.
